What's a book without a few good love connections?
Well... still a book, actually.  But a much less interesting one all the same.
In my story there are some pretty good ones, I think.  For now I'm gonna discuss just a few.
Zoe + Kendall
Okay, so Zoe's not just a normal girl, but technically she is still a girl (yeah... moving on) and so naturally she has some feelings for someone to begin with.  Oh, she is enamored by Kendall.  A lot.  Not just because he's good looking and plays his electric guitar in the courtyard, but also because she feels a connection to him in this way: they both notice things about people on a level far above anyone else.  This is actually because Kendall is an agent for the Watchmen and he has been trained in their ways, but Zoe has no idea about that.  She's beginning to think he actually feels the same for her when she discovers that he was just on assignment to protect her... or was he?

Ashlinn + Owen
Haha, this ship (short for relationship) cracks me up and I don't know why.  Probably because I spent FOREVER thinking that Owen was gonna end up with Zoe's mom, and then Lucy suggested that he end up with the au pair (Ashlinn) and I was like TRUE THAT LUCY INSERTLASTNAMEHERE!  Ha ha inside jokes are fun.
Anyway... Ashlinn thinks Owen is ridiculously handsome from the first time she sees him, and she disguises it pretty well- only Zoe notices.  That's all I got so far on them.  Eventually they love each other and, metaphorically, adopt Zoe, since they spend more time with her than her real parents do.  And they can tour Europe!  'Cause he's British and she's Irish.  Ha ha not really.
I'm still taking names for the contest :

Well... it's not much of a contest, to tell you the truth.  But I NEED help and everyone loves contests.
I need you guys to think of the most awesome name ever for the character I will describe below.  The last name has to be Shadow, but the first name can be whatever you think of.  Whoever gets the coolest name will win: bragging rights and a free copy of my book if it gets published ever!  All right not amazing prizes either, so I will add a VIRTUAL BLACK FERRARI like the one Zoe rides about in!  Oh yeah!
The character:
____ Shadow.  Just an average guy?  No.  He's been raised in a family of international spies and he tops them all in natural skill and ability.  As a Watchman, his natural element is darkness and shadow; he's been trained to be almost invisible and yet see everything around him vividly and perfectly.  Little does he know that the Downfall ninjas are planning on making a big move: stealing Iridescence.  When ninja Ryder Witt steals it and begins taking over the world with its power, it's up to ____ Shadow to get it back and set things right.  Eventually he does, saving the world from an apocalyptic fate, and since it was used by them, Iridescence's power enters into both ___'s and Ryder's family lines.  That was in 1890.  120 years later, it's time for his ancestor, Zoe Shadow, to walk in his foo

Who doesn't love a good personality quiz?  Well, okay, some people... LOSERS!  Ha ha just kidding.  But seriously.  Take this quiz I made, related to my book; it's on quizilla and this is the link:
http://quizilla.teennick.com/quizzes/18029881/which-iridescence-agency-do-you-belong-to
Post your results here!  I am really interested to see what people get.  I haven't taken it myself yet... I think part of me is almost afraid to :D  All of the results... there's four... they're all like a part of me.  Because people don't just have one side; I try to make all my characters realistic in that way.  Anyway... TAKE THE QUIZ!

Hey, I posted a new page on this site called "Writing 101".  Go check it out!!!!  I think it could be a fun time.
Anyway, can't talk now.  I have to get some more piano practice in before lesson tomorrow.  :D
But let's just say I was SO inspired recently!  The story took a different direction that I am so excited about.

Hello.  Sarah asked about how long a chapter should be, or something close to that.  I think she said she had about 30 pages.  I haven't thought about chapters much myself, but that inspired me to research it a little bit.
Every book has a different pacing, so I can't really tell you how to divide your chapters.  Chapters have to end at a crucial moment.  You probably know already, but you can't just end at some random place and then open right up again.  Like: Bob looked at a brick.  CHAPTER FIVE.  Bob looked at the brick again and saw it was not red.
Most chapters end with either 1) Closure: one part of the problem has been resolved, or something has been discovered, or the character is slipping away to sleep.  The moment just feels finished.  2)Suspense: a cliffhanger, something big has just happened and you know another thing is going to happen very soon.  This doesn't have to be a new chapter but it can be.  3)A quirky line.  Something funny or just smart.  This will make it sound more finished even if there isn't a big reason to end the chapter.
Okay, so the question was about length, so I won't ramble on about any other obscure things.  I read that page-turning thrillers have short chapters, like 2-3 pages, but anything else usually has around ten pages.  It could go anyway.  Just depends on what's in the writing, not how long it is :D

Sorry I haven't been on in ages.  But I was just thinking of how although it may seem hard to write and write and write today, it'll pay off someday.  Even if it doesn't get published, I'll still have the experience and I'll be a more patient person and a better writer.  :D  And if it DOES get published... wow, that'd be amazing.  It might be normal, it might get really famous.  That's a dream of mine.  To have them  make an awesome movie of it... but really, I have to focus on what's really important, and that's glorifying God in whatever I do, so

Ha ha, okay not really an orange.  An orange notebook, really.  All 70 pages are almost complete.  Then it's on to the blue one... which is exactly the same... but blue is just so much more wintry.  Cha to winter!  Anyway, this is momentous for me 'cause my rough draft for the story began in the orange and will most CERTAINLY not end there (after the blue I've got green... spring anyone??? lol).  I'd better get to it.  Two and a half pages to go...

It's a year!  And it's happy!  And it's new!  CHA!  Happy New Year!!!!!!!
So, resolutions.  I don't usually make them on New Year's... just whenever it strikes me, I guess.  Because every day is something new; years are just measurements of time, really.  But it's something special anyway.  Of course, a goal of mine is to write more.  And more and more and more.  It's a goal with no end, but I'm okay with that.  Anyone else have any goals?
I just posted a new page... "The Dream"... not my best work, and you will probably understand NOTHING since I skipped a bunch of stuff... but hey it's there!  So read it!  Thank you.  :D
